About
I recently earned my Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University and will be joining the economics department at Metropolitan State University of Denver as an assistant professor in the Fall 2023 semester.
My research interests include applied microeconomics and political economy. My work studying the economics of bureaucracy has been published in Constitutional Political Economy and the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy. Those articles and other working papers examine bureaucratic responses to federal regulation of government-funded defense laboratories within the Department of Defense , differences in the structure of research funding across government agencies, and the creation of rents for colleges and universities by the Department of Education.
My teaching experience includes online and in-person undergraduate economics courses in mathematical economics, econometrics, macroeconomics, and environmental economics.
