About

Welcome! I am an assistant professor of economics at Metropolitan State University of Denver as of August 2023 and earned my PhD in economics from George Mason University in May 2023.

My research interests include  applied microeconomics and political economy. My work studying the economics of bureaucracy has been published in Constitutional Political Economy and the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy. Those articles and other working papers examine bureaucratic responses to federal regulation of government-funded defense laboratories within the Department of Defense , differences in the structure of research funding across government agencies, and the creation of rents for colleges and universities by the Department of Education among other topics.

My teaching experience includes online and in-person  undergraduate economics courses in mathematical economics, econometrics,  macroeconomics, and environmental economics.
